Born in Kealakekua, she was a savings supervisor for American Savings Bank and member of Kona Hawaiian Civic Club, Professional Secretary International, Kona Chapter, and South Kona Catholic churches. Wake service 5-9 p.m. Friday (Oct. 27) at St. John’s Catholic Church in Kealakekua; 6 p.m. rosary. Visitation at 8 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 28) at St. John’s. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. Casual attire. Flowers welcome. Alan Masashi Naguwa, 96, of Hilo died Sept. 26 in Las Vegas. Born in Olaa, he was a retired carpenter at Pohakuloa Training Area, member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association and veteran of the U.S. Army, Cannon Company, 442nd Regimental Combat Team during World War II. Private services held. No flowers; no koden (monetary gifts).
